LiAngelo And LaMelo Ball Quit Their Lithuanian Basketball Team

LaVar Ball pulled his sons, LaMelo and LiAngelo, off of their Lithuanian basketball team Wednesday.

Lithuanian basketball reporter Donatas Urbonas had several tweets explaining why the head of the Ball family removed his sons from BC Vytautas. It sounds like it mostly came down to LaVar’s disapproval of the head coach and injuries to the both of them.

Well, I guess the Lithuania experiment was fun while it lasted, and it lasted way longer than I think most people probably would have anticipated.

LiAngelo is currently in the 2018 draft. Odds of him getting picked aren’t high at all. If I had to guess, you’ll be seeing LiAngelo in the G-League next year.

As for LaMelo, I don’t have a single clue where he’ll end up. He blew away his college eligibility by going to Lithuania, he has lots of talent, could play on a solid team overseas but there are a lot of variables. Can he hold up overseas? Does he want to?

I don’t know, but we’ll be tuning in to find out. LaVar sure does know how to get ratings.
