Sen. Bernie Sanders is considering making another run for the White House, his former campaign manager, said Tuesday.
Jeff Weaver made his remarks during an interview on C-Span’s “Washington Journal.”
He was asked if voters would get another chance to cast their ballots for Sanders in 2020.
“He is considering another run for the presidency,” Weaver said. “When the time comes, I think we’ll have an answer to that. But right now, he’s still considering it.”
The Hill noted Sanders, I-Vermont, has already announced he would run for another term in the Senate.
In announcing his bid for re-election on Twitter, Sanders was critical of President Donald Trump and Republican leadership.
If reelected, you can be sure that I will continue to be the fiercest opponent in the Senate to the rightwing extremism of Trump and the Republican leadership.
