Even liberals get annoyed with CNN every now and then.

Trevor Noah was in that position on Thursday night when he used his “Daily Show” platform to criticize CNN’s Jim Acosta for his sharp criticism of a one-on-one meeting between President Donald Trump and reality star Kim Kardashian.

Kardashian met with the president this week to discuss prison reform and to lobby for a pardon for 63-year-old Alice Marie Johnson, who is serving a life sentence for a first-time, non-violent drug offense.

Johnson has served over 20 years behind bars. She also happens to be Kardashian’s great-grandmother.

“She shouldn’t be here [at the White House] talking about prison reform,” said CNN’s Acosta in a rather elitist moment. He suggested this event wasn’t a “serious thing” worthy of the White House.

But Noah, a sharp critic of the president, took issue with that criticism — and mentioned on his show that Kardashian had a “legit” reason for meeting with the president. (Check out the video below.)

Noah, however, couldn’t let the moment pass without going for Trump’s throat as well.

“What could she [Kardashian] do to make him any worse than he [Trump] already is?” he joked.

Intelligent, common-sense reform is the goal. The constant harsh criticism of the sitting president has worn very, very thin by now.
