Senator Elizabeth Warren made it clear on Thursday that, although she is working hard to help her fellow Democrats prepare for the midterm elections this November, she is “filled with terror” that her party may not regain the majority in either the House or the Senate.

The Massachusetts senator couched her answer by reminding Maddow that she was not a pundit, then explained, “I really, really want us to do that. I’m going to work really, really hard to make that happen. I run every day filled with terror that it won’t because if Donald Trump remains in control of the House and the Senate — and the Republicans won’t stop him — I don’t know what happens in the next two years.”

Warren is currently campaigning for re-election to the Senate and has been mentioned by numerous sources as a possible 2020 presidential candidate.
