Comedian Tom Arnold on Thursday night tweeted a picture of himself with President Donald Trump’s longtime personal attorney Michael Cohen, telling NBC News that the two are “taking Trump down together.”
Arnold, who will host a show where he looks for rumored compromising footage of Trump called “The Hunt for the Trump Tapes,” tweeted a picture of him and Cohen with the caption “I love New York.”
Cohen, who is under investigation by federal prosecutors, talked to Arnold, who is the ex-husband of noted Trump-supporter Rosanne Barr, about the show that’s expected to air on Vice later this year.
“We’ve been on the other side of the table and now we’re on the same side,” Arnold, a vocal Trump critic, told NBC News about his meeting with Cohen.
“It’s on! I hope [Trump] sees the picture of me and Michael Cohen and it haunts his dreams.”
Arnold would not say whether Cohen is planning on providing any tapes of conversations he’s had with Trump, but he did say that Cohen “has all the tapes — this dude has everything.”
“I say to Michael, ‘Guess what? We’re taking Trump down together, and he’s so tired he’s like, ‘OK,’ and his wife is like, ‘OK, f— Trump,'” Arnold said, with a laugh.
He added that Trump’s recent treatment of Cohen, who served as Trump’s personal attorney for years, has been a betrayal.
“Michael Cohen showed up and worked diligently above and beyond and sacrificed and Donald Trump is like I don’t even know who he is. You think Michael doesn’t notice that?” Arnold said.
