Pacman Jones Says NFL Players Should Stand For The Anthem
Adam “Pacman” Jones was interviewed by TMZ earlier this week and said that he does not agree with the national anthem protests that some players have done. “I’m all for standing for the anthem… I have a couple of family members that have been over to Iraq,” he said. Jones added that the social issues “don’t have nothing to do with with the national anthem,” and that the players should “figure out another way” to make a change.
He said he “didn’t have a problem” with what was going on considering the new anthem rule.

His comments come on the heels of the NFLPA filing a grievance Tuesday against the NFL on the new rule. The NFLPA said that it was “inconsistent with the collective bargaining agreement and infringes on player rights.” The NFL said they will get together with the NFLPA and discuss with them what to do on the new anthem rule.

Earlier in May, the NFL came up with new anthem rules, in which the league will require players to stand during the anthem or should stay in the locker room. Many players were outraged by it, speaking out on the issue.

TMZ released a video after Jones had a fight with another man in the airport. The video was taken just before Jones got into that fight in the airport. Jones was not arrested, as the police claimed that he was not the instigator in the fight, and that Jones was just defending himself in the fight.

Pacman Jones’ contract was declined by the Bengals in March, making him an unrestricted free agent.
