We’re officially 22 days out from the return of major college football.
As everybody knows, the football season officially starts August 31 when the Wisconsin Badgers take the field against Western Kentucky. Yes, for all you clowns out there, I recognize that there are some minor games in the days leading up to August 31. That’s JV football, and it means nothing. Ladies and gentlemen, I honestly can’t put into words how badly I need football to get here. I need it as badly as a junkie needs a fix. I’m honestly over here shaking so badly that it’s borderline embarrassing.
Why do we have to wait so long for the games to return? It’s borderline cruel and unfair. This is America. It should be a law that we’re required to have football on our televisions around the clock. After all, isn’t that what our founding fathers fought for? (RELATED: SEC FANS DON’T LIKE TO USE FACTS WHEN DISCUSSING COLLEGE FOOTBALL)
Either way, we’re almost there. We’re about to descend upon the shores of the college football season, and a season of great games, cold beers and hot women lies ahead. I can’t wait. It’ll be Christmas every day for several months in a row.
