Cleveland Browns receiver Jarvis Landry had an all-time speech during the first episode of “Hard Knocks” Tuesday night.
I anticipated the Browns wouldn’t disappoint on the hit HBO show, and it didn’t take long for Landry to prove my point. (RELATED: MATTHEW STAFFORD’S 2017 HIGHLIGHTS ARE PRETTY MUCH STRAIGHT UP FOOTBALL PORN)
“I don’t know what the f**k been going on here, and I don’t know why it’s been going on here. But if you’re not hurt, like if you’re hamstring isn’t falling off your f**king bone, your leg isn’t broke … you should be f**king practicing. Straight up. That sh*t is weakness and that sh*t is contagious as f**k, and that sh*t isn’t going to be here in this room. That sh*t been in the past, and that’s why the past has been like it is. That sh*t is over with here,” Landry preached to his fellow receivers.

Who is ready to run through a damn brick wall right now? That’s the kind of spirit I’m talking about. Landry has me thinking the Browns might be for real, which a dangerous belief to hold.
Let’s all just be honest. The Browns have been a joke for the better part of my entire life. They’re a circus act that stopped being funny years ago.
Despite all that, they’re still very entertaining. It’s like the car crash nobody can look away from. They need to get their act cleaned up, and it seems like Landry might be the guy for the job. I’ve never even played a down in the NFL, and I feel like I could torch a secondary after hearing those words. The weak can hit the exit, and the rest of us will play football.
While we’re here, we’d be foolish not to remember the three greatest football speeches ever given. Yes, they’re all from movies, but they’re still awesome.
We’re getting closer to opening day, and I couldn’t be more excited. I hope you’re all with me. It’s going to be a hell of a time.
