Rep. Goodlatte's Son Donates to Father's Democrat Opponent

The son of Rep. Bob Goodlatte, R-Va., announced in a tweet that he had given the maximum allowable donation to a Democrat who is running for his father’s congressional seat.

Rep. Goodlatte, the Republican chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, said in Nov. 2017 that he would not seek reelection.

Bobby Goodlatte is an angel investor in 30-plus startups and a former product designer at Facebook, his Twitter profile says.

Jennifer Lewis, 26, a mental health professional and prominent opponent of the Atlantic Coast pipeline, is running against Republican Ben Cline in the November midterm election for Goodlatte’s position, The Hill reported.
