President Donald Trump, questioned whether the firing of FBI agent Peter Strzok will convince officials to drop special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation.
Trump made his remarks in a tweet on Monday and again called the probe a “witch hunt” and “hoax.”
Agent Peter Strzok was just fired from the FBI – finally. The list of bad players in the FBI & DOJ gets longer & longer. Based on the fact that Strzok was in charge of the Witch Hunt, will it be dropped? It is a total Hoax. No Collusion, No Obstruction – I just fight back!

Strzok once led the FBI’s investigation into Russian meddling in the election. His firing was ordered by FBI Deputy Director David Bowdich.
Strzok’s lawyer, Aitan Goelman accused Bowdich of giving in to political pressure. He said the dismissal was not based “on a fair and independent examination of the facts.”
Trump has repeatedly cited texts between one-time agency lawyer Lisa Page and Strzok as proof that the FBI’s investigation was tainted from the start. Page and Strzok were dating during the 2016 campaign.
