Conservative activist David Horowitz told Newsmax TV Friday he’ll fight back against the Southern Poverty Law Center after it designated his conservative think tank as a hate group, and against Visa and Mastercard, which have blocked people’s ability to donate to his organization.
“The fact is, I am a threat,” Horowitz, the founder of the David Horowitz Freedom Center, told Newsmax TV’s “America Talks Live,” while slamming his political opponents as “communists” and saying he’ll push for an investigation of the SPLC.

“They got the Southern Poverty Law Center, [which has] slandered me for a decade, and got Mastercard to cut off my underlying funding through credit cards,” said Horowitz.
He also slammed the Democratic Party, calling it a “racist party” who first notes a person’s skin color, their party and their gender, so “the details of any incident are secondary.”
The move by the SPLC means Horowitz’s organization can’t process donations from any major credit card companies. Visa and Mastercard control the market share of credit cards in circulation.
The SPLC notes that Horowitz was a founding intellectual member of the New Left in the 1960s, but claimed that he now holds “anti-Muslim, anti-immigrant, and anti-black” viewpoints.
Horowitz said Friday the SPLC accused him of being a “premium founder” of anti-Muslim actions, but he insisted he is not financing anything.
He added that after he abandoned leftists politics, he swore he’d “fight fire with fire,” and accused Democrats of being liberal only about “hard drugs, sex and spending other people’s money.”
