North Korea may seek 'new path' after U.S. fails to meet deadlineNorth Korea on Tuesday said as the United States had ignored a year-end deadline for nuclear talks, it no longer felt bound by its commitments, which included a halt to its nuclear testing, and may “seek a new path”. North Korean leader Kim Jong Un set a Dec. 31 deadline for denuclearization talks with the United States and White House national security adviser Robert O’Brien said at the time the United States had opened channels of communication.
