Actor and musician Jared Leto said that he only just discovered that COVID-19 had become a dangerous pandemic, practically pushing the American lifestyle to a screeching halt, because he was on a 12-day “silent meditation” with no access to technology.
What are the details?
On Monday night, Leto, 48, revealed the discovery on Instagram.
The “Suicide Squad” actor detailed how he and, apparently, others were locked down in a “facility” for 12 days in which he had no access to technology, including cellphones.
He wrote, “Wow. We were totally isolated. No phone, no communication etc. We had no idea what was happening outside the facility. Walked out yesterday into a very different world. One that’s been changed forever. Mind blowing — to say the least.”
Leto pointed out that since his return, he has received messages from around the world briefing him on the rapidly unfolding developments surrounding the COVID-19 outbreak.
“I’m getting messages from friends and family all around the globe and catching up on what’s going on,” he continued.
“Hope you and yours are ok. Sending positive energy to all. Stay inside. Stay safe,” the actor concluded.
At the time of this writing, there are more than 4,500 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the United States, and over 90 Americans have died because of the deadly outbreak.
Leto also shared the update to Twitter, where it has received thousands of likes.
