German foreign minister quarantines after coronavirus hits bodyguard

German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas is quarantining after tests show that one of his bodyguards caught the coronavirus, the Foreign Office said on Wednesday.A statement said, however, that an initial test for Germany’s top diplomat had come back negative.Maas is not the first member of the German government to self-isolate due to a coronavirus scare.Chancellor Angela Merkel spent two weeks in home quarantine in March after she had contact with a doctor who tested positive for the virus. She tested negative at the time.
