Dow's 214-point climb led by gains for Boeing, Apple Inc. shares

Buoyed by positive growth for shares of Boeing and Apple Inc., the Dow Jones Industrial Average is climbing Friday afternoon. The Dow (DJIA) is trading 214 points (0.8%) higher, as shares of Boeing (BA) and Apple Inc. (AAPL) are contributing around a quarter of the index’s intraday rally. Boeing’s shares are up $6.05 (4.1%) while those of Apple Inc. are up $3.06, or 2.8%, combining for a roughly 60-point boost for the Dow.
