Japan logs 2.10 trillion yen current account surplus in August

Japan posted a current account surplus of 2.10 trillion yen ($19.82 billion) in August, marking the 74th straight month of black ink, government data showed Thursday.Among key components, the country had a goods trade surplus of 413.2 billion yen and a services trade deficit of 316.6 billion yen, according a preliminary report released by the Finance Ministry.Primary income, which reflects returns on overseas investments, registered a surplus of 2.25 trillion yen.
