Court bans ex-president Vizcarra from leaving Peru for 18 months

Peru’s Supreme Court on Friday banned Martin Vizcarra, who was impeached by lawmakers earlier in the week, from travelling overseas for 18 months.In a virtual hearing, Judge Maria de los Angeles Alvarez agreed with prosecutors that the former president could present a flight risk, considering the seriousness of the accusations, according to daily El Comercio.
