Bach rejects Beijing boycott calls, IOC approves next Olympic Agenda

International Olympic Committee (IOC) president Thomas Bach on Friday dismissed calls to boycott the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics over China’s treatment of the Uighur people and other human rights issues. Human rights groups have called for a boycott and like some politicians have named Beijing’s actions towards the Uighurs “genocide,” allegations China has rejected.
