Baseball: Dragons set to sign former big leaguers Gerber, Rosario

The Chunichi Dragons have agreed to terms for next season with a pair of former big leaguers, outfielder Mike Gerber and pitcher Randy Rosario, the Central League club said Wednesday.Gerber, a 28-year-old Tennessee native, reportedly comes recommended by Chunichi batting coach Alonzo Powell, who identified him as a suitable hitter for Japan.The left-handed batter averaged .076 in 30 major league games with the Detroit Tigers and San Francisco Giants.
