Baseball: Nishikawa anxious but firmly on course for majors

Nippon Ham Fighters center fielder and leadoff man Haruki Nishikawa acknowledged his doubters and admitted his nerves but said Saturday his eye is firmly on giving the major leagues his best shot. The 28-year-old is free to negotiate with all 30 major league teams after his Pacific League club said Thursday it had completed the posting process.
