Boe wins biathlon sprint race after opening individual defeat

Last season’s overall champion Johannes Thingnes Boe of Norway won the World Cup 10-kilometre sprint race on Saturday in Kontiolahti, Finland.Boe had a clean shot performance in two visits to the shooting range and clocked 23 minutes 53.0 seconds.Swedish duo Sebastian Samuelsson and Martin Ponsiluoma were second and third, 44.1 and 47.9 seconds off Boe respectively.
