Carrie Underwood dropped a behind-the-scenes clip Thursday for her new “Sunday Night Football’ hype song called “Game On.”
The 35-year-old actress does not disappoint in the video she shared on Instagram talking about how she was inspired with the help of a handful of writers to really “switch it up” for the song that will kick off NBC’s “Sunday Night Football” games for the 2018 season of the National Football League.
She captioned her post, “New Sunday Night Football on NBC Open featuring #GameOn performed & co-written by Carrie along with @chrisdestefano & #BrettJames. Take a look behind the scenes now!”
“It is an honor to be back for the sixth year with Sunday Night Football,” the “Cry Pretty” singer explained in the promo. “We just felt like maybe it was time to switch it up. It was written specifically for Sunday Night Football.”
Underwood continued,”And I feel like it’s such a great hype song. All eyes on Sunday Night Football.”
To make the promo, the production crew shared that they traveled to places like Pittsburgh, Dallas, Seattle and New York and worked with those cities NFL teams’ biggest stars to make the opening.
“SNF” kicks off Sunday September 9 on NBC for the game between the Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers.
