Chelsea miss chance to go top after defeat at Wolves

Pedro Neto snatched a late winner as Wolves beat Chelsea 2-1 on Tuesday to crush the London side’s hopes of going top of the Premier League. Neto had earlier won a penalty only for it to be overturned by VAR but then clinched victory for the hosts with a brilliant breakaway goal deep in injury time, leaving Wolves 10th and Chelsea fifth. Olivier Giroud volleyed Chelsea ahead on 49 minutes but Daniel Podence equalized for Wolves with 25 minutes remaining before Neto’s late, late strike. Later Tuesday, Manchester City can move into the top six if they beat West Brom.
