China revises down 2019 economic growth rate to 6.0% from 6.1%

China on Wednesday revised down its inflation-adjusted economic growth rate for 2019 by 0.1 percentage point to 6.0 percent following data revisions. As a result, the world’s second-largest economy expanded in 2019 at its slowest pace in 29 years, with the country having been plagued by a tit-for-tat tariff trade dispute with the United States.
