CNN Commenters Question Why Kavanaugh’s Daughters Were Rushed From Senate During Protests

Speaking on CNN, conservative commentator Josh Holmes made the argument that Democrats were just trying to delay and disrupt the nomination hearing.

“They had to dismiss Judge Kavanaugh’s daughters from the hearing room at one point,” Holmes told liberal panelist Symone Sanders and legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin.

“Oh, please,” Toobin mocked, “Oh, please.”

“They were already going to get up, now, Josh,” Sanders said.

“Oh, please? Did that not happen?” Holmes asked bewildered.

Toobin said, “Because they were planning on leaving any way. They were little kids.”

“It was pretty contentious,” Holmes said, “The bottom line is, he sat here for six hours, entertaining people questioning his character and integrity, and now that he’s had a chance to respond, I think he did a nice job.”

Toobin smirked. “He’s going to be on the Supreme Court for 30 years. I think he can spend an uncomfortable afternoon.”
