Crotone still in drop zone after win against Parma

Serie A newcomers Crotone beat Parma 2-1 through a Junior Messias brace on Tuesday, leaving the bottom place but remaining in the three-team drop zone at the outset of matchday 14. Brazilian winger Messias struck twice before the break and Juraj Kucka headed in the guests’ consolation goal. Crotone are now third-last, three points behind Parma. Champions Juventus and guests Fiorentina play later in Turin; leaders AC Milan host Lazio on Wednesday, with seven other games completing the year’s closing round.
