Crystal Palace claimed a 5-1 away win against West Bromwich Albion in the Premier League on Sunday after an intervention from the video assistant referee (VAR) controversially reduced the hosts to 10 men. Palace led from the eighth minute through Darnell Furlong’s own goal until Furlong made amends for his error by creating Conor Gallagher’s low strike to make it 1-1 on the half-hour mark.
