David Perdue Will Likely Run Against Sen. Raphael Warnock in 2022

Former Sen. David Perdue (R) has filed paperwork in Georgia indicating he will run against Sen. Raphael Warnock (D) in the upcoming 2022 Georgia Senate race. Perdue, a one-term senator, lost his seat to Sen. John Ossoff in January in the same cycle that elected Warnock. While Ossoff will serve for the next six years, Warnock was elected in a special election after former Sen. Johnny Isakson (R) vacated his seat early.
