Detention order issued against Tunisian media magnate

A Tunisian court on Thursday issued a detention order against ex-presidential contender and media mogul Nabil Karoui for alleged corruption, a judicial official said. “The jailing warrant has been issued against Karoui in a case related to money laundering,” a Tunis court spokesman, Mohsen al-Dali, told dpa. The order was issued after Karoui, the leader of Qalb Tounes (Heart of Tunisia) Party, had been earlier summoned for questioning, the official added without further details.
