Eight new FIFA programmes to develop women's football

FIFA is adding eight new programmes to further develop women’s football around the world, the governing body said on Tuesday.FIFA said that its 211 members can apply for and access “additional resources and specialist expertise to develop women’s football at a national level” between 2020 and 2023.The programmes as part of “the next phase” of the development include women’s football campaigns, league development, coach education scholarships and mentorship as well aswomen in football ladership.FIFA had last year made available 1 billion dollars for the women’s game between 2019 and 2022, and e…
