EU ministers to approve 'Magnitsky' tool for human rights breaches

Human rights abusers could be more easily shut out of the EU – which would mean losing access to assets stowed there – with a new tool EU foreign ministers expect to approve on Monday. “We will finalize a human rights regime today,” German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas said on Monday before heading into an in-person meeting with his 26 counterparts.
