Fashion mogul Peter Nygard will remain behind bars in Canada while fighting sex trafficking case

NEW YORK — Fashion mogul Peter Nygard lost a bid Wednesday to be released from a Canadian jail while he fights extradition to New York on charges of sex trafficking. Justice Sheldon Lanchbery in Winnipeg ruled that the 79-year-old should remain locked up until a Jan. 19 bail hearing. “Mr. Nygard’s case has generated a media frenzy.
