Samsung’s Galaxy Note 10 is one of the most anticipated smartphones of the year. The Korean company has tasted massive success with the Galaxy S10 series, and is leaving no stone unturned to make the Note 10 equally successful. But if a new report is to be believed, the Galaxy Note 10 price will be pretty high, putting it out of the reach of many Samsung fans. Fortunately, there will also be an affordable Galaxy Note 10E.
Galaxy Note 10 price to be in the $1,100-$1,200 range
Russian publication Hi-Tech Mail has learned from reliable sources that the Note 10 price would be in the range of $1,100 to $1,200. The report didn’t mention whether the price tag is for the standard Galaxy Note 10 or the more affordable Note 10E. It’s most likely the standard Note 10. Then again, is it for the 4G LTE variant of Note 10 or the 5G model?
Last year’s Galaxy Note 9 had a starting price of $1,000. The Galaxy S10 Plus started at $1,000 while the Galaxy S10 5G has a starting price of $1,300. The Galaxy Note 10’s 5G version is unlikely to cost less than the 5G Galaxy S10. So, the price reported by Hi-Tech Mail could be for the 4G LTE variant of Note 10.
The higher starting price of Note 10 would give Samsung more room for the ‘affordable’ Note 10E. Earlier this year, Samsung introduced the ‘E’ version of Galaxy S10 with a starting price of $750 for people who can’t afford the more expensive models. The company is expected to do something similar with the Note 10, meaning the Note 10E would lack some feature to keep its costs low.
Samsung to launch the Note 10 in August
The publication added that the Note 10 series would be unveiled in August, and go on sale later in the same month. According to Hi-Tech Mail, the Note 10 would feature a hole punch selfie camera similar to Galaxy S10 series. However, recently leaked renders suggest the hole-punch camera could be placed in the top-center instead of top-right corner.

Reliable Twitter tipster Ice Universe claims that Samsung is working to make the hole on the Infinity-O displays smaller. The Galaxy S10’s display hole measured a little larger than 3mm. The Yonhap News Agency of South Korea also reported earlier this year that the selfie camera hole on the Note 10 will shrink.
Under-display camera technology will take a long time to mature.
In the second half of this year, the rigid Super AMOLED will be on the stage of history, with a size of 3.x mm, and will continue to Shrink this number until 1mm in the next 1-2 years.

As per the rumor mill, Samsung would launch four different models of Note 10 – a standard Galaxy Note 10 and a cheaper Note 10E, plus a 5G variant of each. The Note 10 is said to sport a 6.75-inch display while the Note 10E would feature a smaller 6.28-inch screen.
The Note 10E and Note 10 would carry model numbers SM-N970 and SM-N975. Their 5G versions are said to have model numbers SM-N971 and SM-N976. The company will continue to use the hole-punch Infinity-O display technology that debuted with the Galaxy S10 series. It expands the display area without opting for the notch.
The Note 10E is tipped to pack a 3,400mAh battery while the standard Note 10 would pack a larger 4,500mAh battery. They would support a blazing fast 45W charger. The devices would run Android 9 Pie with Samsung’s custom One UI skin on top.
A few weeks ago, a report claimed that Samsung would ditch all physical buttons on the Note 10, including the power button, volume rockers, and the audio jack. Samsung is finally ditching the 3.5mm headphone jack, but the other buttons are likely to stay. Ice Universe reports that at least one of the Note 10 prototypes lacked buttons, but it couldn’t pass Samsung’s rigorous testing. So, the Note 10 would retain the physical buttons.

The Note 10 and its 5G sibling are expected to sport four cameras on the back, similar to Galaxy S10 5G. The Note 10E and its 5G version will reportedly get a triple camera setup.
