Geiger downs dominant Riiber for Nordic combined WC win

Vinzenz Geiger produced a brilliant sprint finish to defeat Norway’s dominator Jarl Magnus Riiber on Saturday and claim a first season victory for Germany in the Nordic combined World Cup. The 23-year-old Geiger attached himself in the 10-kilometre cross-country race to the group including Riiber, who started first having leapt a best 94.5 metres in the large hill ski jumping.
