German doctor Mark S on trial for 150 doping violations

German sports physician Mark S organized an international blood doping operation for top-level athletes for nearly a decade, a court in Munich heard at the start of his trial on Wednesday.The doctor stands accused together with four alleged accomplices, in what is Germany’s biggest doping trial to date.Mark S was detained in February last year following raids in his home in Erfurt, Germany, and at the Nordic skiing world championships in Seefeld, Austria.Prosecutor Kai Graeber told the court that Mark S violated pharmaceutical and doping laws in nearly 150 cases.
