German Green state premier plans 'reliable and stable government'

Baden-Wuerttemberg Green Party Premier Winfried Kretschmann said he planned to build a “reliable and stable government” after winning a third term in the south-western German state. “I accept it with great gratitude and humility,” the 72-year-old said. However, he declined to say say whether he wanted to continue the Greens-Christian Democrat coalition government he has headed up or to form a new alliance with the centre-left Social Democrats and the pro-business Free Democrats.
