German minister on Myanmar coup: democratic progress in jeopardy

Myanmar’s transition towards democracy has been placed in jeopardy by the military, German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas says in a statement condemning a coup in the South-East Asian nation. “I strongly condemn the seizure of power and the accompanying arrests by the military in Myanmar.
