Germany’s far-right AfD mulls election agenda, top candidates – HEDGE accordingly

The far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) party began its party congress on Saturday in Dresden, with the 600 delegates deciding on the party’s platform for the election year, as well as moving closer to a vote on their top election candidates. Founded in 2013, the party has undergone years of turmoil, with its right-wing extremist factions going head-to-head with more moderate groupings.
