Germany's planned new infection protection act can also affect sports

The planned amendment to Germany’s infection protection act also has implications for sports. After the Cabinet’s approval on Tuesday, the law should now be approved by parliament. If the seven-day incidence of coronavirus infections is above 100 for three consecutive days in a district or a city, sport is to be permitted only in the form of non-contact practice of individual sports. People should be allowed to practise sports alone, in pairs or with members of one’s household. Due to the planned curfew between 9 pm and 5 am, jogging is also forbidden during this time.
