Gladbach captain Stindl extends contract by two years

Borussia Moenchengladbach have agreed a two-year contract extension with captain Lars Stindl, the Bundesliga club said Friday, while all also keeping long-serving defender Tony Jantschke in the squad. “We are very happy that we have Lars at Borurssia for two more years,” said sporting director Max Eberl. “He is a top performer, leader and head of our team.” The 32-year-old Stindl has scored 61 goals in 190 competitive games for Gladbach since moving from Hanover in 2015.
