Google Pixel 4 Renders
@OnLeaks has been a reliable source of information for upcoming products from companies like Samsung, Apple, and Google for quite some time. We have seen leaks and renders of several devices over the last few months that have proven to be quite accurate. Now, the popular leaker has released Google Pixel 4 renders that reveal some surprising details about the new phone.
The images are 3D CAD images show us the actual dimensions of the new device, as well as revealing that it will have a smaller display than expected. The measurements for the Pixel 4XL shown in the Google Pixel 4 renders are 160.4 x 75.2 x 8.2mm, and it sports a 6.25″ display. This means the actual device is larger than the Samsung Galaxy S10+. However, it will have a smaller display than its competitor, thanks to the “forehead” or top bezel that appears in the images.
While the Google Pixel 4 renders are not guaranteed to be exactly what the final product will look like, it is reasonable to assume they are pretty close to accurate. The large bezel at the top of the display is somewhat of a sore spot with many tech fans, as competitors have managed to reduce it. Samsung and Apple have integrated their cameras into the display area through the use of notches or cutout camera units. Other companies have moved the camera away from the top of the phone altogether in order to eliminate wasted space on the front of the device. There is a chance that Google will work out a more attractive means of integrating a front facing camera between now and the actual launch date.
Apple’s iPhone 11 is coming this fall, as well as the Samsung Galaxy Note 10. These will be the the two biggest competitors Google faces in the US market. On a global scale they will also have to compete with Huawei, which is quickly gaining market share around the world, in spite of being banned from using the Android OS. We have seen leaks concerning devices from several smartphone manufacturers over the last few months, and the latest Google Pixel 4 renders can be added to the stack. It will be interesting to see how the Pixel 4 measures up against the competition, once it is actually in the hands of consumers.
