Gross starts Schalke rescue mission as Uth, Roennow return

Christian Gross conducted his first training session as Schalke coach on Monday, a rescue mission to keep the winless Bundesliga bottom club in the top flight. Forward Mark Uth and goalkeeper Frederik Roennow returned to training from injuries as Schalke started preparing for their league restart on Saturday at Hertha Berlin.
