Lewis Hamilton of Mercedes took a sensational pole position for Sunday’s Formula One Emilia Romagna Grand Prix at Imola by beating Red Bull’s Sergio Perez by 0.035 seconds. The seven-time world champion clocked 1 minute 14.411 seconds, around the 4.959-kilometre Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari to secure the 99th pole of his career.
