Hundreds protest across Germany against coronavirus measures

Several hundred people across Germany protested against the restrictions put in place to stem the spread of the coronavirus on Sunday as part of so-called “silent marches.” In the capital, police estimated 600 to 800 people had gathered to take part in the march. Originally, about 2,000 participants had been registered for the event with Berlin police. Police collected personal details from nine people who didn’t wear a face mask, eight of whom are suspected of giving false accounts, according to a police spokesperson.
