Italy to reopen its ski slopes after closing in middle of peak season

Europe’s largest ski holiday destination is planning to reopen to travellers after weeks of turning away tourists seeking a winter sports retreat. Italian ski slopes will be permitted to reopen from January 18, Health Minister Roberto Speranza announced at the start of the month.
