Japan household spending up 1.1% on year in Nov.

Japan’s household spending in November rose 1.1 percent from a year earlier, increasing for the second consecutive month, government data showed Friday. Spending by households with two or more people in real terms was 278,718 yen ($2,700), the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications said. Household spending is a key indicator of private consumption, which accounts for more than half of Japan’s gross domestic product.
