Matthew McConaughey’s new movie “White Boy Rick” opened today, and it should be awesome.
The plot of the film, according to IMDB, is, “The story of teenager Richard Wershe Jr., who became an undercover informant for the FBI during the 1980s and was ultimately arrested for drug-trafficking and sentenced to life in prison.”
One quick look at the trailers, and you know that you’re in for a great time. The movie looks downright sensational by every metric. I have a feeling McConaughey, arguably the coolest actor alive, might be doing some cleaning up at the award season.
You can absolutely sign me up for any movie that involves the drug trade, weapons, McConaughey as a terrible father and an FBI informant under the age of 18. That sounds like a hell of a great movie.
I have been looking forward to seeing this movie ever since I saw the first preview. Guess what? That’s exactly what I’m going to do today. I’m going to the nearest theater and checking it out.
Check back to The Smoke Room to get all my thoughts on the film. Something tells me I’m going to love “White Boy Rick.”
