'Overjoyed eyes' and 'goose bumps' - Union Berlin hail return of fans

Berlin (dpa) – Union Berlin president Dirk Zingler has spoken of his relief after 4,500 fans were allowed in to their home friendly with Nuremberg.Last season’s Bundesliga was suspended in March because of the coronavirus pandemic and when the league returned to complete the season in May and June, all games were played behind closed doors.Top German politicians wanted fans to be kept away until the end of October at least.
