Padres’ Chris Paddack works on eliminating noise

PEORIA, Ariz. — Chris Paddack sprinted to the mound Tuesday before his fourth start of spring training. After throwing his his warm-up pitches, he knelt on the grass for his usual pregame prayer. Then he threw his first pitch to Jurickson Profar. Yes, Paddack took his turn in the rotation on Field 2 in the morning, allowing for some specific work on his end and for MacKenzie Gore to start the Padres’ afternoon exhibition against the Cincinnati Reds.
