UFC superstar Paige VanZant will reportedly fight again in early 2019.
MMA Fighting reported the following Sunday night:
A bout between Paige VanZant and Rachael Ostovich is in the works for the UFC’s debut show on ESPN, sources told MMA Fighting on Sunday. The event will take place Jan. 18 on big ESPN, though the location has yet to be determined, per sources. Both sides have agreed to the bout, sources said, but the UFC has yet to make it — or the event — official.
VanZant (7-4) is coming off two straight losses, most recently a unanimous decision defeat against Jessica-Rose Clark at UFC St. Louis back in January. The popular Dancing With The Stars veteran broke her arm in that fight and has been struggling with complications from that injury all year.
I hate to brag, but once again, it looks like I was 100 percent correct here. Nobody wanted to listen to me when I told everybody that I was convinced she’d fight again. This isn’t etched in stone yet, but it looks like we’re getting pretty close. All the signs were there for anybody who was willing to spend the 10 seconds to look. I don’t know anything about Rachael Ostovich, and I really don’t care if I’m being honest. All that I care about is that VanZant is back to fighting again, which appears to be imminent. (SLIDESHOW: These Are The Sexiest Paige VanZant Photos On The Internet)
VanZant walking into the octagon is going to be an outstanding event. The music will be blaring, she’ll be strutting her way up and the crowd will be going wild. I can’t wait to see it. I absolutely can’t wait. Dana White needs to get this done immediately. The UFC just needs her back ASAP.
